Cover Reveal…Coming soon!

Surprise, surprise! I’ve decided to return to the land of writing for a publisher along with remaining an indie author.

It took some time to make my decision, and I chose a publisher I believe is a good fit all the way around. The people I’ve met at Totally Bound are wonderful, and I love the atmosphere and the sense of adventure.

Along with the adventure, I’m very much looking forward to meeting new readers and bringing more books to those of you who’ve been reading my novels over the past 15 years. I love you all and couldn’t do it without you. ❤

Soon we will be stripping away the wrapping and revealing the fantastic cover from Totally Bound!

~Hello World, from Small Town USA~

I’d have to say it’s been one hell of a year. I won’t go into too much detail, but it ended with moving on a sudden whim from Scottsdale, AZ, back to my hometown. The country girl gone city has gone hometown. I don’t say gone country again because I am not inclined to move to a ranch outside of town. 🙂

I moved with my sweetheart, who gamely said, “Sure, let’s do it,” and here we are in one of the most interesting small towns in the U.S. It’s been voted one of the quirkiest places and has all kinds of neat things to explore and great people to meet. It’s an artist’s community with a lot of history that makes it fascinating. And lucky me, this is the place where I grew up.

I’m finding it different but easy to fall into small town life. It’s nice being away from all the traffic and the crazy stress that has now faded into a more relaxed lifestyle. Someone suggested writing a blog on returning home thirty years later. I might just have to do that.

And while I’m at it, I hope to see a lot more of you all as time goes by. 🙂

How time flies when you have brain fog :)

I can’t believe it’s the middle of March, 2016. It doesn’t seem like the last time I posted was November.  It’s been tough couple of years for me when it comes to health, and I’m working on catching up from that now that I have conquered it thanks to my endocrinologist.

For the past two years, until the beginning of this brand spanking New Year, I had Epstein-Barr and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It was a struggle to do anything during that time. All I could do was write –all my energy went to that. I wanted to do so much more, but I was constantly physically and mentally exhausted. I had a hard time staying awake and took a stimulant for a year just so I wouldn’t fall asleep while writing or driving. I was in a brain fog (as my endocrinologist called it) all of the time. I couldn’t remember what it was like to have energy.

I had many great intentions, things I wanted to do but couldn’t follow through with–like starting and keeping up this blog. And I still owe my readers Wonderland: Mikaela.

When January of 2016 arrived, all of a sudden I was feeling alive again. I have energy, mental clarity, and I even sing (horribly) and dance (ditto) when I’m by myself at home. Sometimes when my sons are around, too, and they just shake their heads and smile. The garage needed to be cleaned and organized for two years, and now I can do it and am.

I returned to the endocrinologist in early January, and the blood tests came back with my “numbers” within normal range! I am thrilled, happy, excited, and looking so forward to bigger and better things.

2016 has started out wonderfully. Here we go!
